June is National Indigenous History Month.
This month is a great opportunity to learn more about the First Nations communities who are the original caretakers of the land we live on, as well as Canada’s commitment to truth and reconciliation reflected in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s 94 Calls to Action. These calls were created in collaboration with survivors and their families to acknowledge the impact of Canada’s legacy of residential schools and serve as a guide in the process of reconciliation.
