Connecting Through
the Sounds of Nature Tour
The Connecting Through the Sounds of Nature Tour is based on a music and video project which paired six nature-inspired musical pieces created in collaboration by two bands, the Park Siyeon Trio (Daegu, South Korea) and Juice Joint (London, Canada), at The Aeolian Hall.
The tour facet of this project encourages viewers to explore the beautiful natural locations that London has to offer, while reflecting on the importance of environmental stewardship through this enriched artistic work.
Through the exploration of Indonesian musical instruments called ‘Gamelan’, the musicians co-created six original music pieces inspired by water, earth, air, space, creatures, and fire while visual artist, Byungjin Choi, and poet, Katie Jeresky, created artworks inspired by the sounds of the music.
The music videos paired the artistic collaboration with nature footage captured in London and the surrounding area, filmed by local videographer Brad Spencer (Brad Beard Studios). This collaborative project was created through the London Arts Council’s Artist-in-Residence-Cultural Exchange Program.
